The next few years will be defined by what we build and what it costs.

Lake Oswego has been my home for most of the last 26 years. It’s very special and a great place to bring up a family. Past leaders grew this community into what it is today. Together we can make it better.

The City is facing a period of approved new construction and that is where budgets can get out of control. I have worked as an owner paying for projects and inside the contractor world delivering them. I know both sides of the table. That is an unusual skill to have on a council, and is one of the reasons I am running.

I believe public decisions should be based on facts, data, common sense and sound judgment — not politics or emotion. We have to balance budgets and make honest choices about what we can afford. Communication with the community should be transparent, and we should hold ourselves accountable for our promises.
